Born from the SOCOM PDW solicitation, the NEW Maxim Defense PDX™ is designed to handle the fierce demands of the Tier 1 community. The PDX dominates close quarter encounters and achieves maximum energy on target. At just 18.75” in overall length, the PDX delivers groundbreaking power and performance in a sub compact platform. The PDX is equipment with the Maxim Defense Arm Brace which gives you the adjustments needed to more comfortably shoot your AR pistol, and makes your pistol more compact for easier transport. Built on the same housing as Maxim's CQB stocks, you get the same durability and features. It’s also the perfect stock to run on your pistol while waiting on your Form 1 to clear. When that day comes, keep the same housing installed and simply swap out the arm brace for one of Maxim Defense's butt stocks. The PDX is also equipped with newly invented Maxim HATEBRAKE™ muzzle booster. This patent-pending device significantly reduces recoil, decreases the flash signature, pushes gasses and concussion wave downrange away from the operator and improves overall performance in short barrel pistols and rifles.
A common problem in short barrel PDW’s with low-pressure cartridges is reliable cycling. Maxim Defense Hate Brake muzzle booster is designed to regulate firearm exhaust gases to ensure PDW’s cycle more reliably.
The primary design features include the redirection of the sound signature, decreasing the flash signature, significantly reducing recoil, and increasing accuracy.
The HATE BRAKE installs with a 3/8” drive socket from the front, enabling it to be installed under a handguard without removing the handguard. During installation, the HATE BRAKE locks into place with K-Taper, a patent-pending taper locking technology, replacing the need for proprietary tapered barrels. The external shape of the HATE BRAKE is designed to work with M-Slot compatible hand guards.
