This authentic Imperial German P08 carries the distinctive Erfurt arsenal marking and 1914 chamber date, placing its production at the beginning of World War I. Erfurt-manufactured Lugers are particularly interesting to military-firearms collectors because production at the Royal Arsenal was limited to the relatively short 1910–1918 period.

The standard military P08 configuration features the iconic toggle-lock action, approximately 4-inch barrel, checkered wood grips, eight-round detachable magazine, and distinctive profile that made the Luger one of the most recognizable military pistols of the early 20th century.
