Original Swiss Military M57 bayonet was crafted in the 1950's by Wenger for use on the Sturmgewehr 57 battle rifle in Switzerland and is still in use today by the Swiss military. Featuring a 9.5" stainless steel double edged blade that is .875" thick and ribbed designed specifically to cut through anything. The 5" molded and ridged handle provides a secure grip for hand to hand combat and the metal tang has a spring release with a .875" hand guard protector.
The M57 bayonet was designed to be mounted on Sturmgewehr 57 battle rifles, Sig-57, in the 1950's. This has been retired from the Swiss military and appears to be in great condition, shows some usage. Includes the scabbard.
