Used EXTREMELY RARE Stevens Tip-Up Shotgun (Model 30) in 14 Ga. Read more.
Here is a EXTREMELY RARE Stevens Tip-Up Shotgun (sometimes referred to as the Model 30) chambered for 14 Gauge. This example is in great condition for it's age, but please see pictures for details.
Starting in 1872, Stevens began producing single-barreled shotguns based on their tip-up rifles and pistols. The first was the Model 30 offered in 14 gauge but soon followed by 10, 12, 16, and 20 gauges.
"J. Stevens & Co." is marked on the top of the barrel, indicating that this example was made between 1872 and 1886. That makes this an approximately 150 year old piece!
