This pre-owned Winchester Model 24 is a classic American side-by-side shotgun chambered in 16 gauge and presented in excellent overall condition.
Serial number 24485 places this shotgun in 1941 production, making it an early example of Winchester's Model 24 series. Winchester's own serial-number records show that serial 21,382 marked the end of 1940 production and 27,045 the end of 1941.
The Model 24 was Winchester's traditional utility-grade side-by-side shotgun and was produced from 1939 through 1958. Period examples commonly feature blued steel, walnut furniture, double triggers, and a conventional side-by-side barrel arrangement. Winchester records indicate that approximately 116,280 Model 24 shotguns were produced before discontinuance.
This 16-gauge example is especially appealing in excellent original condition. Its combination of early production, classic Winchester styling, and the increasingly desirable 16-gauge chambering makes it an attractive choice for Winchester enthusiasts and collectors of vintage American sporting shotguns.
